DESIGN CONSULTATION

The journey starts with a garden design consultation visit at your home, where we can meet you and start to understand your overall objectives however functional or whimsical.  Following this meeting we will email you with a Design Fee Proposal and written design brief for your approval.

MOOD BOARDS

Aspirational photos on mood boards will help to bring the design direction to life.

TOP LINE SURVEY

Once commissioned we will conduct a survey of the site to record all measurements and key features, apparent utilities, soil condition and aspect.

DESIGN PLAN

A final plan is drawn up, usually on CAD – Hand drawn if specified, noting each type of materials for hardscape.  3D visuals and animation are available for an extra fee which is strongly advised for more complex projects.

CONCEPT PLANS

Concepts are realised through aerial views and sketches, which show the overall layout of the garden.  Several concepts may be draughted for discussion which helps in refining the ultimate plan.  At this stage material choices, levels, plants or any intricate details of features have not been finalised. . Once happy with the Concept Plan we commence detailed design work.

CONSTRUCTION

For bespoke features, Construction Details may be necessary, to ensure that the feature is fully ‘worked out’ and that the contractor has an accurate design to build to. A fixed fee will be supplied for this before the detailed design work takes place.
